Office Outing goes to Malaysia! – Day 1

As it seems from Title, this year, my office goes to Malaysia for 3 days 2 nights. For the choosen tour, my office picked Fajar Buana (Mr. Eko – the owner) as our tour guide at Malacca and Malaysia. He’s super duper patient to handle over 20 people who want to look, stay a while, sometimes gone and very fussy.

Got Breakfast Nasi Lemak from Air Asia ( tour packaged)

The first day, we arrived at the airport Kuala Lumpur 2, Mr Eko indtroduced us to our tour leader and brought us to have a lunch at NZ Curry House. It was awful! the food seems meh.

After that, We’re going to Malacca with big bus! It took 2 hours and we got some snack from our tour leader.

Arrived at Malacca, we stopped at Christ Church and it’s full of “odong-odong” with their own song 🙂 Don’t forget to take a photo. It’s a mandatory tourist photo spot

After that, our tour leader brought us to St. Paul’s Hill by walk, it’s near and we could see some scene from above.

Our tour leader said, there’s a history about the statue of Francis Xavier.   The statue with his right hand is no longer intact, it’s because it was cut off from a fallen tree branch against the statue’s hand. It is said that the statue’s palm is still left cut like this because of a miracle that occurred in 1614 after St. Francis Xavier died, where when he wanted to cut his palm to canonize.

It’s so HOT there, and we already tired of this trip. We can’t take a bus to surround all this place. It’s near though but yep it’s very hot. So, we take a stop at Mcdonald and our tour leader bought us free ice cream cone while we queued at toilet 🙂

It’s very near from Mcdonald to Tamingsari Tower. Very recomended! We can view a lot of Malacca scenery 360 and it’s very beautiful. It would be great if you can catch sunset from above of Tamingsari Tower. Don’t go there at night! My friend said, there’d be nothing to see beacuse it’s so dark at night. After Tamingsari, we got the bus to go to The Shore Sky Tower.

So hungry, so we cacthed our dinner first before shopping at Jonker Street. The food was better than our first meal at Malaysia (NZ Curry House).

Here we go!!! Shopping at Jonker Street!!!

It’s a shame that we can’t go to San Shu Gong. It’s a place to buy a souvenir from there like kopi luwak, peanuts, etc. Our tour guide told us that she would bring us to souvenir shop, I tought it would be San Shu Gong and I realized too late (SanShuGong closed at 9pm)  that we will go another souvernir shop.

OH! and must to remember, DONT get drink too much, it’s difficult to find any restroom and many store won’t lend you any.

It’s not good at it’s seems at this picture or any travel website. It’s darker and not clean enough. But it’s near from anywhere, got 7/11 too accross the street.

It’s a wrap for Day 1 Office Outing goes to Malacca!!! It’s very tired for sure and still hungry hahaha 🙂

*Notes: Our tour was devided into 2 groups, i was the first group. After what we’ve been through, our travel change the first meal and hotel for second group.

XOXO
